Every donation will make a difference to women in need around the world.
Women at Risk provides financial support to established local projects who are working to improve the world for these women.
Together we can help to improve their communities, whether it is working to prevent acid attacks in Asia or eradicate FGM in Africa. Our work focuses on two distinct themes: Promoting Safe Motherhood and Ending Violence Against Women.
We have only one paid member of staff, meaning more of the money we raise goes to help women at risk.
We don't keep huge reserves of money in the bank. We believe that money donated by members of the public should reach the women for whom it is intended as quickly as possible.
We work with local projects so we can draw from local expertise, knowledge and also be sensitive to the culture where we work.
We fundraise for those not able to do so themselves.
Our beneficiaries range from acid attack victims, fistula sufferers and women in abusive relationships. These women are suffering purely because they are women. We are supporting them, both in the UK and abroad.
